Thank you for your interest in our WooCommerce CMS Excel add-in. It will be available shortly in Microsoft Appsource.
What you can do #
This add-in helps you fetch data from your e-commerce website and create products, right from within an Excel workbook.
Why? #
Why would you want to fetch data and have them available in a workbook?
WordPress is great for your e-commerce customers. They can quickly find what they are looking for, add it to the cart, checkout, and pay for their order with minimum effort.
However, when it comes to the backend of your website, i.e. the admin area, things become too overwhelming, too soon.
For example, let’s say you want to find all orders from a specific customer and their grand total combined.
Assuming you are already logged in and in the admin area, you need to:
- Hover over the WooCommerce menu item on the side menu
- Click on orders
- Filter by the customer using the search box at the top
- Click on each and every order that the customer has made to see what their cart actually contained
- Keep track of what information you have already found, either in your head, on a piece of paper, or in a digital document
- Manually sum all totals to find the grand total
There are a lot of mistakes waiting to happen, such as missing one order or counting an order two times, and a lot of data entry has to be done manually. Not to mention the fact that you need an active internet connection this whole time and wait for each and every page to load.
Our solution #
With our WooCommerce CMS Excel add-in, all you need to do is click on a button, pour some more coffee, and by the time you get back to your screen, every single order and its details will be right before your eyes.
The power of Excel #
You can use every built-in Excel feature such as filters to look for that one particular customer and do whatever you need with that data. Maybe you have another workbook where you keep track of these things, in order to provide a customer with a discount, the next time they order something. Just copy and paste any data from this workbook to another and voila. Clean and tidy and regardless of the speed of your internet connection and the quality of the signal.
Share data #
Or you can share this data with that employee, who is not meant to create products or do any sort of editing and you don’t trust them in your backend because they are the fat-finger type of person. As you will see in the setup section, you can restrict someone from being able to create products, and only allow them to fetch and see data, and work with them off-site.
No internet connection needed #
And if you are on the road, or waiting to board a plane, you can fetch all these data and work with them offline.
This is it? Can we customize it? #
We only scratched the surface and we didn’t even go into detail about what you can do regarding product creation yet. When you read the rest of this documentation you will realize what you have been missing all this time without our add-in. And if you want to take it one or multiple steps forward, ask us about how we can customize it to your individual needs. Take a look at the UI of our basic offer here below and then continue reading.
